That Dr. Julia Hoffman is certainly very resourceful, putting Maggie in a trance so she'll forger that Barnabas abducted her. It's very subtle villainy but necessary for Julia to stay alive. With Maggie and her father reunited, at least Hill be there to protect her, but obviously Barnabas is going to go out for her way to keep her silent. Julia too has a stake in what happens to her (pun intended), and continues to manipulate Maggie to her advantage.
Another Black and White episode with the color print lost, but that again brings out the gothic aspects of the story. There are also appearances by Joe and Dr. Woodard, with Dave perplexed by some of Julia's actions. Grayson Hall really delivers in this episode, a glint in her eye showing the actresses amusement at what she has to do. Barnabas appears briefly towards the end, setting up his plans for protecting himself, and it becomes very sinister in tone.
