Brother and sister hiding things from each other.
mark.waltz19 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
When Elizabeth finds Roger trying to break into the locked basement room, she is livid and refuses to let him in, still denying that she doesn't have the key even though she asked him where it was when she returned home from the hospital. She claims that the only thing in there are her ex-husband's belongings, and she has no idea where the paintings he is searching for are. Jason makes another cryptic call so we know that he is not in this alone. Meanwhile, Sam, having had another confrontation with Roger, is confronted by Maggie over why getting these paintings back are so important and how Roger ended up with them in the first place. When she realizes the truth, involving the car accident from a decade before, everything becomes clear to her.

More family dramatics between brother and sister, joined now between father and daughter, and one that could possibly destroy their relationship Beyond repair. One thing we've learned about the character of Maggie is that she respect honesty and integrity above everything, and to find out that her father hasn't been quite truthful or boble is bound to harm their relationship. Things are quickly brewing in both stories, and that makes this an interesting and necessary episode.

Dual narrative

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 198 offers a dual narrative with Roger vs Elizabeth on one hand, and Sam vs Maggie on the other. The old 'Burke's accident' storyline resurfaces more explicitly than ever, although the highlight is Jason's incredibly sinister telephone call.
