"Swink" was shot over the course of a year, but actual shooting only took 12 days on weekends in April, August, and October of 2005.
All the sound in "Swink" was replaced in post-production, including all sound effects and actors' voices. Each actor re-recorded his or her own voice several months after shooting was complete.
Jay McCarrol, the composer of the "Swink"'s score and songs, appears in the final third of the film as Midnite Mitch, the lead singer of the band playing at Mrs. Moretta's birthday party. Matt Dyson, the sound designer, appears as the sax player.
Mrs. Moretta is played by Chris's mom, Nanci Russell.
