- TriviaDuring the time Amyas Godfrey appeared on the show (mid-to-late 1980s), the viewer could never be sure how his name should be pronounced. Some of the cast members called him AIM-ee-us (first syllable sounding like "tame"), others AM-ee-us (first syllable like "ram"). This episode probably provides the authoritative word: in the locker jokes, his older brother, Matthew Godfrey, refers to him both as his "real-life brother" and as AM-ee-us (like "ram"). One has to suppose that Matthew would know. Strangely enough, the locker joke immediately following Matthew's pronouncement has Adam Reid calling him AIM-ee-us (like "tame"). Oh well.
- Quotes
Moses: [in an Old Testament spoof, Adam portrays Moses just finishing some chisel work] Lord, I have them - I have the tablets.
The Lord: [off-camera voice-over] I'm proud of you, Moses.
Moses: So what do I do with the tablets now, Lord?
The Lord: [His voice beginning to crack with laughter] Take two before dinner, and call me in the morning.
Moses: What? But what about the Children of Israel?
The Lord: Children take only one tablet.
Moses: I don't believe this; I don't believe this. All that work for a stupid punch line.
The Lord: Come on, Mo, can't you take a joke?
