Warning: Spoilers
"Attack Of The Alligators" was first aired on television March 10, 1966.

Anyway - As the story goes - A food additive that greatly increases the size of livestock has been dumped into the Andro River. Will International Rescue be able to save the trapped inventor and his guests from the ravenous giant alligators?

Probably one of the best episodes

And if it's not the best, it's definitely one of the most memorable! International Rescue are called to save the day after a new drug meant to greatly increase the size of animals - and therefore their meat - is stolen, with part of it accidentally spilled into the surrounding swamp full of alligators! You can imagine the result.

The episode is quite exciting and tense. It actually uses REAL crocodiles! It's one of my little brothers' favourite episodes, and I can easily see why. Slightly globalist at the end, but still extremely good. The ending is rather humourous.

Truly goofy

Loads of fun and a whole different look (plus new puppets) for a wacked-out episode that would have made for a fun live-action B-movie incarnation.

A new formula developed in the lab causes the swamp to be infested with giant alligators, and the Andersons have a fab design to create a miniature Southern swamp in the lab as backdrop for the cast of weirdo marionettes wearing particularly bad wigs!

Of course the Thunderbirds rescue team gets involved to save the day (and humanity) from monsters, but it's the unique goofy miniature location and atmosphere that won me over. And of course the use of real human hands for closeup shots reminds us of the auteurs' craziness.
