This is one of the best Filipino films that I have ever seen.

This film is an adaptation of a play by Tony Perez, "Sa North Diversion Road". This play is included in the "Tatlong Paglalakbay Trilogy"--the other two plays are "Bombita" and "Biyaheng Timog". Originally, the play "Sa North Diversion Road" is a story of ten different couples who are fighting about infidelity while driving along the North Diversion Road (now called the North Luzon Express Way). In the film, Dennis Marasigan inserted some flashbacks which were not included in the original play. It was good that the director thought of adding those scenes because it aided in understanding the film and made the storytelling more visually inclined. Also, the ten different couples in the play were portrayed brilliantly by only two actors in the film, Irma Adlawan and John Arcilla. The acting of these two actors was really convincing to make the audience think that each couple that they portrayed were really different people.

This is one of the best Filipino films that I have ever seen. I highly recommend everyone to watch this movie.

The Scattered Mind Of the human
nruguri4 December 2006
The Movie Begins with the theme of a broken home. The human mind Plays significant role in that it is a place where so much can happen in a given time frame. The man is portrayed as having an affair and yet he is a husband, His wife a wretched soul and yet is an arrogant woman ready to let her aching soul be heard.

The Car is portrayed as the home, for it is here that all the scenes take place after the affair has been discovered. The car is the primary place where the minds of the couple are laid out for the viewer to indulge. The pain in once scene progresses to a partial joyful remenese of a life once shared. Then the outbursts of the woman and the pitiful state of the man are all shared in the vehicle. We experience Morning, day time and nightfall all in this car "the home". The fact that there are no other people in the car is a representation of this being a home, a home naturally provides privacy for an arguing couple, it is a place where marital problems begin and if successful can also be solved.

The lighting again takes me back to the heading of my summary a scattered mind, in the darkness of the night the mind is wild and untamed. The cheating husband becomes alive and more arrogant not because he speaks loud but because of the solemn and yet pride filled tone of voice, therefore the lighting to his face is partially half light and half dark, portraying the image of a vile un apologetic mind, and yet in another scene he is a weeping sorry man, provided with the same lighting. Scattered mind? You tell me!!!. The different title of the Movie" North Diversion Road" is a good title, for it portrays the trueimage of a road, we can never get into a car and drive straight forwardto our destinations, without meeting road diversions, one road leads you to another, and that other to another,so is the mind of the human being, we cannot just maintain a specific personality, for every situation there is a mask, and for every mask there are countures that make it different form the other, so all the scenes shot in this movie, frOm the braided loud talking wife, to the solemn broken hearted wife, to a weeping emotional man, all a representation of what is stocked up there in the human mind.
