A fabulous, well written, thought provoking film
yinsyang9910 February 2008
I just viewed this film at the 2008 Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and it was not only well executed in it's storytelling, but it hit on all of our human emotions from sadness to fear to joy. It handles the difficult subject of battling cancer with humor, grace, and dignity while the ill character maintains a lust for life and hope for the future. The writer finds interesting ways to reveal how cancer can so differently impact people in the same family or in the same circle of friends. The film is subtitled for those of us who are not bilingual. What is most enjoyable about the film is that is is not predictable in the least despite having a premise that looks as though it could lead down a predictable path. It is absolutely worth viewing and bring tissues!
