Seattle-based documentary filmmaker Deirdre Allen Timmons makes her debut by pulling back the velvet curtain on the world of burlesque, where art and erotica co-exist in the same spectacle. Timmons introduces ten game volunteers, comprised of eager housewives and bored professionals, to Miss Indigo Blue's House of Burlesque, where the ladies find self-confidence and empowerment as they're instructed by Miss Blue in the age-old art of theatrical titillation.

Brussels -- French actress Isabelle Huppert will be the guest of honor at the International Festival of Francophone Film, which runs Sept. 26-Oct. 3 in the Belgian city Namur, organizers said Wednesday.
There will be a retrospective of her movies and the festival opener will be Swiss-French director Ursula Meier's debut feature "Home," in which Huppert stars as a mother whose home is threatened by a nearby highway.
Huppert's "Home" co-star, Belgian actor Olivier Gourmet, is the festival's honorary president.

PARIS -- The 47th Festival de Cannes Critics Week sidebar has added Ursula Meier's Franco-Swiss-Belgian co-production "Home" as a special screening on May 18, organizers said Wednesday.
The drama, starring Isabelle Huppert and Olivier Gourmet, follows a family whose peaceful existence in an isolated country home is threatened with the reconstruction of a busy highway nearby.
"Home" was produced by Denis Freyd's Archipel 35. Memento Films International is handling worldwide sales for the film released in France by Diaphana Distribution.
