Very well made short movie with great hidden lesson.

Very good short with hidden lesson about how to enjoy life. I understand this was a 48 hour film festival contest short where the writers, director, producer, actors, and crew had only 48 hours to write, film, edit and show the short after drawing plots, characters, required objects, etc. out of a hat. The hero of the movie wants to retire from his career as a Super Hero but cannot unless he meets a specific requirement. We watch as several people are saved from consequences which range from minor to life endangering usually without knowing they have been helped. This was a Well made entertaining short and I would love to see more productions by the same talented group.

For a less than 2 day project, this is fantastic

This film was part of the 2005 San Diego 48 Hour Film Project. Film makers have 48 hours to complete a short film--this includes filming, editing, etc. all within 2 days! I have seen hundreds of shorts that were not nearly this good--and they were usually made over a much longer period of time.

FORM 3254-A is a fantasy movie about an aging super-hero who wants to retire. However, he's been told that he must find a successor and fill out the appropriate form by one of our many helpful civil servants. By chance, he comes upon a lady with the same gift he possesses and the rest is history.

There were several wonderful moments in the film--particularly the beginning set in the government office. I loved how no one noticed or cared that Jack was wearing a super-hero uniform and mask. I also loved how the lady waiting on customers made Patty and Selma from "The Simpsons" seem kind and understanding!! All in all, a clever little film and an amazing project given its time constraints.
