The overall story is about the same one that every single horror movie uses. Family moves into new house, and crazy paranormal stuff goes down. Except in this case, it all starts happening immediately after they start to move in, so there's no real waiting period.
Some of the acting from the kid playing David is pretty bad, mainly when he's pretending to be 'scared' at the beginning of the episode. The adults are all varying levels of okay, but some of them aren't much better.
But the acting probably isn't the main draw for a lot of people. This is the same story and family from the infamous "Devil Made Me Do It" murder case in 1981. Arne Johnson killed his landlord with a pocket knife when they got into a violent argument while intoxicated, and then claimed that he did it because he was possessed. However, unfortunately for anyone looking for anything about that case in this episode, it's not even mentioned. There's a brief thing where Arne gets possessed and becomes violent, but that's earlier on in the story.
Overall, it's not a bad episode, but there are some issues with cheesy and clunky acting.
