Final show. Both celebrity contestants were from the ABC-TV drama 'The Rookies'. Game shows 'Blankety Blanks', 'Password', and 'Split Second' were all canceled on June 27, 1975. 'The Big Showdown' and 'The Money Maze' would follow suit a week later. 'Password' ended on the ABC Network on this date after 1,090 episodes for the network. On Monday, June 30, 1975, 'Password' would be replaced with 'Showoffs', another Goodson-Todman game. At the very end of the Friday finale, producers Howard Felsher, Cathy Hughart, Frank Wayne, and contestant coordinator Les Sinclair appear to play one final game. Afterwards, Mark Goodson comes on to give Allen a watch, and dub him "Mr. Password". Finally, Allen brought his wife, Betty White, on screen for one last segment. On January 08, 1979, 'Password' would be resurrected and return on the NBC Network as 'Password Plus', again with Allen Ludden as the host.
