This was a good episode plenty of laughs the plot was interesting, not what I'd call a classic Simpsons episode but it was still very good indeed. I feel like while though Marge and Lisa's storyline was funny it could have done with something more, not sure what though.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is pretty much at the tail end of The Simpsons golden era which I count as the first 10 seasons without a doubt, although there were some outlier episodes beyond that that I could count as being worthy to watch.
Maximum Homerdrive is the ultimate road trip movie, with Bart and Homer taking on the truck delivery of a truck driver who died in a steak eating contest.
The Carpenters get much play in this episode with their Close to you doorbell jingle driving Springfield residents absolutely nuts without a doubt.
The ending showed how Bart and Homer bonded through their truckin' journey.

The Big Rig
Hitchcoc1 October 2022
When a legendary truck driver bites the dust, Homer takes it upon himself to drive his rig to Atlanta. Bart rides along and they have a series of adventures. On the way he finds that the trucks have a kind of automatic pilot that allows them to just sit in the cab and collect their wages. It's supposed to be a secret, but Home blabs to everyone. In a non-related plot line, Marge decides to go over to the wild side by buying a new doorbell. Unfortunately, it plays a Carpenter's song and she can't get it to stop. Homer and Bart encounter angry truck drivers who hate him for giving up their secret. Decent episode.
