Interesting mini-documentary that doesn't tell us much we didn't know already.

Brenda Spencer, the 16-year old school shooter who inspired the Boomtown Rats song of the title, is up for parole 25 years after killing two and injuring nine in 1979. During this process, the makers of this doc speak to her parents, those who were at the scene on the day and others who's lived have been touched by this tragedy.

While it was intiguing to hear especially from Brenda's nearest and dearest for the first time, the fact remains a lot of this is second hand info (apart from the allegations of parental abuse, which should naturally be treated with skepticism).

She comes across as a typical 'remorseful' inmate during her rejected appeal, who would've been released by now in almost any other country in the world... but in America's somewhat harsh prison regime, such a possibility is remote to say the least.

Whether this is a good or bad thing is up to the viewer. But what isn't up for debate is the less you know about this case, the more likely you are to enjoy it. Just don't watch it at the start of the week... 6/10.

Inaccurate and Incomplete

False facts... All over. It starts down a path, then boom that's forgotten and on to something else.

There were definitely school shootings prior to this... 1969 UT inTexas, mid 70's California ani believe there was one in the 50's as well.

I'm currently watching and interested in the story but the horrible background music is a distraction, the narrator's exaggerated accent is annoying. Editing is horrible!

Horrible editing.

Basically like a preview. 1 sentence per person then on to another. My 4 year could make a better show.

It was odd to see so many of the people involved laughing as they discussed that day. It was criminal what this girl did, but having red hair and wearing glasses doesn't make anyone look "creepy".

False facts

The I don't like Mondays documentary was not the first not the first school shooting in the US. Shows like this should do a little research. There was a school shooting in 1974 in Olean, New York. Anthony Barbaro killed three people and wounded several in the December 30th 1974 shooting at the Olean High School. I'm not saying that this was the first School shooting in the US, but it shows that the I don't like Mondays shooting was not America's first. Get the facts right.

Tacky

Shockingly poorly made. There's a bit when they are talking about the kind of gun the killer used and they play generic Rick riffs over footage of a shooting range. Just fill of bad shots and dubious decisions.

They have this listed as a 2021 movies and it's over 15 years old. How dare they not be honest. This is unacceptable. I find movie after movies with release dates that are over 10 years out. Nasty awful people. Space should swallow them up.

The people interviewed looked like Tiger king rejects. Low class, low budget low IQ..A total insult to the beautiful people of San Diego.

I'd rather watch my dog poop than finish this crap excuse of a documentary .
