The MST3K Milling Festival
TheCloser1715 January 2019
The Black Scorpion is a giant bug/animal movie from the '50's that was terribly bad. It included a lot of extra's standing about that was made into a running gag by Joel and the Bots as milling festivals. These were some of the funnier gags in the movie and although the laughs start off fast, the movie even dragged down our heroes and made this one of the tamer MST3K episodes. Although, the host segments were pretty good.

"All right kid, start talking!"

This marks the last appearance of Larry on "Mystery Science Theater 3000" as well as the last episode Josh Weinstein worked on. It's weird as this episode features Larry turning into a green alien or something. It's kind of fitting for his last appearance. That probably killed him. The segments out of the theater were really good, especially with how they had those fake subtitles on. I learned some Spanish, but it was easy to tell those weren't the actual English translations seeing as how one of them was really long. They mentioned something about cats in there. I liked them talking about Joel cutting his hair over and over.

The actual riffing wasn't some of the best, but still nice. I knew they'd make a Disney joke as that thing looked just like a Mickey Mouse head. It was weak at times, but overall good. I liked, "We thought you were dead!" followed by, "Well, just part of me". Another good one was, "And this tequila" with the joke, "Aw, that's for me". Another nice one was, "This is gonna sting a bit. Okay, this is gonna sting a lot". I got a bit of a cheap laugh out of, "No actors were abused in the making of this motion picture". ***
