Probably the best anime I've ever seen

Warning: Spoilers
I first saw this anime when I was only 13 years old and I thought it was kinda stupid. A year later, I also found the first disc and though that the main character (that would be Gokudo) was a girl. Guess who has the 2003 version (Collection Extraordinaire) and the 2016 version (Complete TV Collection) as well as the Gokudo-kun Manyuuki "NANO" artbook now? I do! Now, as a full grown adult, I can assure the reader that this anime is definitely worth your time. Sure the art and music are a bit dated and the jokes are a bit cheesy, but, that is the beauty and charm of it all. The anime has a lot of stuff going for it in my opinion and it deserves more attention than it actually gets.

The Stuff going for it: There are a lot of arcs (six in total) in this anime that I can declare are better than most anime that I have seen thus far. My favorite parts of the anime are when in the second arc, Princess Coco gives Gokudo to his arch-nemesis, The Dumpling King in order to save The Goddess from the magic seal that Prince Niari placed on her so he could take over Parmette. Gokudo eventually escapes from the Dumpling King and Ikkyu (the demon monk of the magic world and devil of the show) took Issa's soul away, severely angering Princess Coco causing her to comedically electrocute Gokudo with her magic. I loved the animation in this scene, especially when Gokudo was being fried with electricity and when he was hanging upside down when the Dumpling King was trapping Gokudo in Issa's scheme. The next part I liked was when a talking panda that is seeking world domination gives birth to a diminutive child version of Gokudo. The scene building up to the birth of kid Gokudo was very humorous, especially since the panda was a male. Right now, I have to say that this part of the anime is the best and most zany part of the longest arc in the animes run. The Body Swapping Arc.

The stuff going against it: The only feasible bad thing about the show that I could come up with was that in Episode 17, the song of the Bok Choy Sisters was fine if not decent but, in Episode 21, the song is played again and now, it's just tedious and slightly boring.

Overall, I think this anime deserves a 10/10.
