There is a postal strike and Kate is waiting to find out about university. Mary is feeling a bit depressed and organises a dinner party with Doris and Eamon and Billie. William has to repatriate a body from Holland as Penelope (Nick's ex) has inherited his business and nominated William on the paperwork. Mary has to fight off the advances of the partner of her current home birth (Rosie). William has to fight off the advances of Penelope. Kate doesn't get into university. The repatriation goes awry. Penelope turns up at the dinner party whilst Eamon and Billie are fighting outside the house.—P Quigley
Billy and Eamon come to blows at William and Mary's dinner party. Mary and Doris attend to a difficult birth, while William sorts out a missing body with Nicholas's ex, also a solicitor who has taken over Nicholas's practice. The new father aggressively propositions Mary, while Nicholas's ex does likewise with William.
