The writing during Karen's Atooshi Kodki commercial, which at first glance might appear to be Japanese characters, actually uses the English alphabet. It's rendered in a pseudo-Japanese font called Electroharmonix, which is designed to look similar to Japanese kanji and has been rotated counterclockwise by 90 degrees to reinforce the effect for non-Japanese speakers.
However, although the name of the drink is said to be "Atooshi Kodki" throughout the episode and in the closed captioning, the writing in the advertisement actually says "Atooshi Konki", misspelling the latter word. (There's a distinct difference between the shape of the "n" character used and the much more complex "d" character in the Electroharmonix font.)
