Later revealing Dr Loveless had recorded the conversation when he plays it back for Janus James says"You had to be stopped. Jail is where you belong. "
When West pretends to be his double and points the gun at Gordon, he holds it at about chest height. When Gordon then turns around, the gun in about at waist level and closer to West's body.
When Miguelito Loveless and Jim West are talking in the saloon, surrounded by mannequins, the woman at the end of the bar is an extra posing as a mannequin (perhaps to avoid constructing so many for only a few scenes); when West breaks the bottle to threaten Dr. Loveless, she blinks - perhaps in response to the sudden noise.
When West and his impersonator talk in the bedroom about the cup of coffee, their shadows disappear on the floor at the point of the split screen.
Considering how meticulous the good doctor always is and how extensively he researched James West knowing what a formidable team are West and Gordon you would think for this particular plan Dr Loveless would have researched Artemus Gordon also-at least his family members.
When Dr Loveless and Antoinette are singing the lyrics "Some may say he's bad" the closed captioning instead shows "Ars longa Vita brevis" which is what Dr Loveless had said to James earlier during their conversation.
Despite Dr. Loveless having inscribed James West's birth date on his tombstone, he failed to include his middle initial, which was revealed in the pilot as being T.
