Harry Ball, a veterinary dentist specialized in horses, had previously appeared on episode 'Helen Traubel (1954)'. His father, a veterinarian as well, owned the 'Knollwood Riding Academy' and stables, in Dewitt, NY, where he trained harness horses.
On January 7, 1967, Everett Dirksen at 71 years 3 days old became the oldest person to reach the Billboard Hot 100's top 40 when his spoken word single "Gallant Men" (his own poem) reached No. 33 and two weeks later it reached No. 29.
Since November 1966, panelist Phyllis Newman was an alternate for Barbara Harris in the Broadway musical 'The Apple Tree', at the Shubert Theatre.
