What's My Line?
Jonathan Cerf and Peter Gabel were President and 'Ibis' (equivalent to Vice-President), respectively, of the 'Harvard Lampoon', America's oldest humor magazine, founded in 1876. Both young men were juniors at Harvard University, majoring in English in 1968. Gabel eventually received a J.D. (1972) and became a law academic.
Robert Morse's 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (1967)' had just premiered three days earlier. In the film, he reprised the role from the 1961 Broadway musical that ran for 1,417 performances and for which he won a Tony Award.
