In 1957, comedian Ernie Kovacs published his first book, 'Zoomar: A Sophisticated Novel about Love and TV', written in only 13 days. In the same year, he would relocate his family from Manhattan to Beverly Hills, California.
Gene Tierney had been away from movies since 'The Left Hand of God (1955)'. At the same time as this appearance, she also did two guest-spots on 'The Arthur Murray Party (1950)' (August 12 and September 2, 1957). In late December 1957, Tierney, stepped onto a ledge at her mother's 14th floor apartment in Manhattan and remained there for about 20 minutes, in what was considered a suicide attempt.
