This Virginian story involves John McIntire, Sara Lane, and Tim Matheson taking a night train to Cheyenne. As it is a night train there's only one passenger car and an eclectic group of passengers.
There's also a group of outlaws led by Gerald S. O'Loughlin looking for a particular passenger they want to hang one of for killing O'Loughlin's sons.
If John McIntire doesn't know who they want, he does sure spot a ringer among the passengers in their idle conversation.
Among the passengers Dennis Weaver, Barbara Werle, John Larch, and Kaz Garas.
