This was a horrible episode of the Virginian

I am writing this, although has no influence in the outcome, since the series was canceled in 1971. I have been watching the Men of Shiloh since first episode as of this year. I am so ashamed of Universal Studios in how the studio ended an outstanding series as was the Virginian. Not just my opinion now but also 1962-1970 (Season 1-8). The Virginian was an outstanding series due to the writers, actors and those involved, especially Frank Price & Norman McDonnell. But the Men of Shiloh is jaw dropping horrible & is so obvious they were squeezing out the Virginian and Trampas with Stewart Granger & Lee Majors. Just so disappointing how the studio tried to ruin 8 years of outstanding episodes. I would recommend to others to only watch those episodes with James Drury as the Virginian & Doug McClure as Trampas (except episode 9/2). Otherwise you are watching misfits that have no connection to the Virginian (or even Shiloh) series in any manner. So sad ended like this. Realize westerns were being squeezed out due to a younger generation and Vietnam. However, this was disrespect to over 8 years of those dedicating to keep the Virginian outstanding. So very sad.
