I have some fleeting memories of this episode where an angel in a white suit is sent to earth for some purpose or other and is befriended by a terrier. He meets a devil in a jazz beatnik type of place. The angel played by Barry Nelson talks to his "boss" who goes by the name of something like "Sam," and wherever the angel walks, he is followed by a white spotlight.
SPOILER ALERT: The dog is hit by a car but after the angel appeals to his "boss," the dog comes back to life and a spotlight follows him as well as the angel walks off into the night. Lovely! Might have made a nice series.
