'Disillusion' for Elizabeth...
arrival18 July 2010
Warning: Spoilers
July - 1908 This was the first in the second season of this great and tremendously successful TV series! Elizabeth returns from her Honeymoon; both 'disillusioned' and unhappy... Nobody at this stage really knows why... She moves with her new husband, 'Lawrence Kirbridge', the Poet, into a new house - taking 'Rose' as a form of 'settling in present' from her parents. Elizabeth certainly needs her, as her world is slowly shattered...

In this episode too, we also get the famous 'red-herring' of the unlikely pairing of 'Thomas Watkins' and 'Rose' in a love affair! This episode introduces John Alderton who plays 'Thomas Watkins', (who joins his wife, Pauline Collins for the remainder of the season) and Jenny Tomasin as 'Ruby' (who replaces 'Nelly') the rather 'slow' Kitchen Maid, who would remain throughout the entire series, until it ended in 1930.
