Brilliant stuff

Warning: Spoilers
Hard to write this one without giving too much away, but most of the Transformers past and how the Decepticons rose to power is not really explained until this episode. A few revelations about key characters are made too. This is one cartoon which delivers stories by the bucketload! Any Transformers fans out there who haven't seen this will have to soon! Particularly with the movie on the horizon. The Autobots losing the war, Prime's background, and how the Decepticons are so feared are all in this one. Nice follow up to The Key To Vector Sigma. The Aerialbots uncertainty as to the war and the Decepticons make this interesting as I'm sure people ask, do any of either side have doubts as to weather they're on the right side!

Transformers Begins

Warning: Spoilers
Warning do not read unless seen episode.

This is another of my favorite episodes of the show the second one to be exact. I thought this was a brilliant episode and this was a time when pre sequels and origin stories were uncommon; I still enjoy this episode to this day because in my book it's one of those ones that are actually done right.

The only bad thing is that this wasn't a two parter, it's just this origin story felt like there was a lot more unexplored depth. But oh well the episode works all the same and if you ever want more depth into the Transformers universe there's always the IDW comics.

There really isn't much I can say what makes this episode great is that it gives a little more depth to the war between the Deceptacons and Autobots but most importantly how things use to be and came to be. I really liked seeing what Cybertron use to be which was literally a bright and beautiful city of gold before it became a dark post apocalyptic world of ruin.

But the highlight no doubt was seeing a Young Optimus Prime whose identity use to be Orion Pax and of course there is also a young Eleta One whose identity was Arial. It's just really interesting seeing how Optimus/Orion use to be just an ordinary guy that wasn't even a soldier but a blue collar worker that was young, naive, just full of optimism (he wasn't called optimus for nothing). I honestly never would of guess this is what Optimus use to be but then again we all were different people back then.

As an old saying goes we all have to start somewhere. Optimus had one hell of a start.
