Larry (Richard Kline) suckers Jack into taking care of a puppy, even though Mr. Roper vehemently disallows dogs and children. The dog becomes too hard to handle, and the gang has to try and keep it away from The Ropers. Elsewhere, Crissy has a sleepwalking problem, and seems to wake up in the middle of the night, which Stanley seems to notice. First things first, this is Richard Kline's debut on Three's Company. He would wind up being a regular when all was said and done. This episode isn't quite as good as some others in the first season, but it won't let you down either. It has the laughs like you'd expect from a Three's Company episode. I just don't think it's as funny as some of the others in the first season. Stanley eating dog food is a classic sequence. There is also a great scene where Janet peers into the kitchen, and thinks she hears something. I won't spoil it, but it's pretty hilarious. Like a lot of Three's Company episodes. Mrs. Roper alludes to going through love making withdrawal. It's a recurring gag, where Mrs. Roper would always take shots at Mr. Roper for not doing anything sexually with her. I have to say. That puppy was adorable as well! I wouldn't call this a favorite episode of mine, but I do enjoy it. It's also easy to understand, simply because many of us have had a pet, and it is not allowed where you live, so it's easy to empathize with
Stanley: About that French food that I ate last night. Jack: Oh, I'm sorry. I thought I flushed that down the drain. Stanley: No. That was my wife's dinner. Your stuff was delicious. Do me a favor will you? Give my Wife the recipe, I mean. The stuff she feeds me ain't fit for a dog
8.5/10
