- Helen Roper: I know. I'll get a job, that's what I'll do.
- Stanley Roper: What? You get a job? What can you do?
- Helen Roper: I can do lots of things. I worked before. When I was a girl I used to work for the post office.
- Stanley Roper: Well, times have changed since the Pony Express.
- Jack Tripper: Look, fellas, what are you trying to do?
- Janet Wood: [scoffs] We're just trying to help Mrs. Roper extend her horizon.
- Chrissy Snow: [truly puzzled] I thought we were trying to help her find a job.
- Jack Tripper: Do you girls know anything about marriage?
- Chrissy Snow: Certainly! It's when a boy and a girl fall in love and live happily ever after and everything they do is legal.
- [smiles happily]
- Jack Tripper: That's a fairy tale. That's for children.
- Chrissy Snow: That's right. They want children, they can have them too.
- [big smile]
- Helen Roper: Well, Janet, what about a woman's right to be a homemaker if she wants to? Isn't that an equal right too?
- Chrissy Snow: She's got a point there.
- Janet Wood: Whose side are you on?
- Chrissy Snow: [grimaces] I don't know.
