Holiday in Bogsea
It is a holiday by the seaside for Eric and Hattie.
Corky and Charles Brown tag along as well. It is typical British weather, it is raining.
The boarding house run by the snooty landlady (Rita Webb) is the usual misery. Charles Brown is astounded that he has to queue up to take a bath.
When the landlady goes out, she takes the plug with her.
Eric arouses the interests of frumpy Jocelyn (Sheila Steafel.) Eric only has eyes for Tillie Truelove. She is effectively a Lobby Lud. A person who visits seaside towns. Anyone carrying the newspaper could challenge her with the phrase "You are Tillie Truelove and I claim my five pounds."
Eric has been trying for years to spot her without success. Corky meanwhile uses his police investigative powers and his mastery of disguise to be quids in.
It really is a blast from the past. A time gone by when families had holidays in seaside towns.
Eric gets into all sorts of bother while looking for Tillie not realising that he has already seen her before.
I can sympathise with Eric when the revolving lighthouse light keeps him awake. It used to happen to me as well.
Unusually Rita Webb plays a posh character in this one.
