Margot Kidder makes this episode
A wacky con babe (guest actor Margot Kidder. Not yet a star), related to a guy Pete (Robert Wagner) used to know in the con business, winds up with a briefcase full of money . . . And instructions on how to make a hit.
It's too hot for her, so she takes what she has to the detective agency of MacBride and Ryan.
The problem is, she's an habitual liar and they simply can't get to the truth of how she found the briefcase and what she wants from them.
Kidder is a delight as she stumbles from one tale to the next, trying to get them to stop the hit but unwilling to be honest about it.
Though it does have a hard edge, the guy paying for the hit is played by Thayer David and one can't take him seriously. He was a poor actor on "Dark Shadows," even by comparison, and that's saying something.
Switch must have a twist in it to justify the title, butvit's pretty guessable.
