It reminds me something
searchanddestroy-12 August 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is very interesting because its topic is nearly the same William Castle used for his I SAW WHAT YOU DID, thirteen years later, starring John Ireland and Joan Crawford. The tale of a husband who murdered his wife and who is threatened by a couple of youngsters who only wanted to get fun, make jokes with every one in the neighbourhood. So, in this episode, we find a man who just want to kill his wife, just try, and who receive a phone call from - here again - some teens who want to play games with the neighbours using the phone.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS ...........

But the man actually did not kill his wife but when he finds out who the jokes came from, he kills the teen girl. And when the wife learns that her husband wanted to get rid of her, and then kills another person...

I won't tell you anymore about this episode, but believe me, it's worthwhile.

Ridiculously corny
lor_15 October 2023
Outrageous overacting permeates this lousy segment of the live TV series "Suspense". It's watchable only if one is part of the "so bad it's good" cult of anti-entertainment.

Russell Collins plays a postal worker who's fed up with caring for his selfish bedridden wife after ten years of her staying in bed, giving him a hard time. It's New Year's Eve and their neighbors in the apartment building are throwing a party at Eileen Heckart's apartment, making noise and getting drunk. The suspense deals with Collins' attempt at a perfect murder, poisoning his wife's milk, and the complications that ensue, including threatening phone calls of the "I saw what you did!' variety.

It's all corny and was old-hat and predictable back in 1951 when broadcast, only seeming more so 70-plus years later. Sole bright spot is having young and lovely Nita Talbot eary in her career kissing everybody (including Collins!) at the party.
