Just as I've noted in reviews for previous episodes in this great series where Meg Foster and Don Johnson among others made their individual episodes with what should have been Emmy winning performances, the great Ned Beatty does so here. His conflicted performance is, in a word, REAL. Every scene that he's in is authentic and the viewer can even feel his tension and empathize because of how well he pulls you into the performance. Kudos all around.

Not bad, but a hard drama!
mm-3919 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Not bad, but a hard drama! Ned Beaty plays a burnt out cop waiting for retirement. There is a violent out burst from Narc Beaty with a C I and there is a cover up. There is and on going Narc operation which has the two stories converge; the under pressure cop and the C I ends up dead. What happen with the cop did the murder result with the cop or the drug dealer? There is a climax for both stories. The Narc story is 70's style action! There is the 70's under pressure cop climax. Not bad but a hard to watch cop drama. I did not mind Hang Tough, but the episode is more like a Police story series story than the usual Streets episode. 6 stars.
