Glyn Crowley (Guy Doleman) and his daughter Jill (Jane Merrow) are both played by actors who starred in the Prisoner. Doleman played Number 2 in one episode and Merrow played Alison.
Glyn Crowley is partly based on Enoch Powell, a Midlands Conservative Party politician known for his strong anti-immigration rhetoric. He had recently been in the news for his notorious "Rivers of Blood" speech, delivered to the General Meeting of the West Midlands Area Conservative Political Centre on Saturday 20th April 1968.
Working from the date of the specially-printed "Herald Tribune", the episode closes on Friday 2nd August 1968.
