This has been a bleak season, but this episode puts out possibilities for the characters. Alfre Woodard deals with a baby whose poor mother died right after giving birth. Helen's little boy has been to military school and comes home all spit and polish. Helen meets her first husband after many years and he tries to woo her. Luther gets a new lease on life. And Mrs. Craig comes to some realizations.
