- Junior leaves prison due to ill health and placed under house arrest, while Livia's health also declines. Pussy begins talking with someone interested in learning more about Tony.
- Livia plays her guilt games on Janice, saying her children have abandoned her in her time of need. Things don't get better when Anthony Jr. tells her Janice has been talking about a DNR order for her. Tony is upset when he finds that Janice has taken down the For Sale sign in front of their mother's house. Janice says she just wants to change real state agents to save money but Tony doesn't trust her. There are problems at one of Uncle Junior's construction site when a civil rights activist begins protests over the few African-Americans on the work site. Tony sends a message to his uncle via Bobby Baccalieri about who is in charge. For his part, Uncle Junior gets bail but is subject to house arrest and has to wear an electronic bracelet. Uncle Junior has a fall in the shower. Big Pussy has a meeting with someone interesting.—garykmcd
- After Tony visits Junior in prison, he informs Junior's assistant that he will be taking over most of Junior's operations, even though Junior is still nominally the Boss. Soon afterward, Junior is allowed to serve his time under house arrest due to his failing health. After his back surgery, Pussy goes to meet with FBI Agent Skip Lipari, who tells him that now that Jimmy Altieri is dead, Pussy needs to start giving more information to the FBI. Livia, meanwhile, continues to be angry at everyone, especially when Anthony inadvertently reveals that Janice is considering giving the hospital staff orders not to save her life.—Jean-Marc Rocher <rocher@fiberbit.net>
- The episode begins with Tony visiting Junior in jail. Junior is led to the visiting room by the guards and placed behind a window and bars to talk to Tony. The first thing that Tony says to Junior is that he is disappointed that it took him three weeks to even put Tony on the visitation list. Junior warns Tony to watch what he says because the guards listen to everything. Tony replies that he is simply visiting his uncle and tells Junior that he still loves him like an uncle. Junior tells Tony that he has nothing to say to him. Tony remarks about the recent deaths to Junior's friends. Junior shoots back that things could have easily went the other way and Tony's friends could have been the ones dead. Tony says that it ended up happening the other way around. Tony asks Junior about his heart and notes he's heard some rumors. Junior references the problems that he and Tony had in the past and assures Tony that Livia had nothing to do with it. Tony tells Junior that Livia is dead to him. Junior tells Tony that Livia is a depressed woman that doesn't have all her marbles. Tony thinks that Junior is livid over the fact that Livia made him look like a fool in the end of all of the events. Junior states that the rumors about Tony are worse and he says people tell him that he wants to fluff Livia's pillows so she can get a long rest, meaning he wants to suffocate Livia. Tony asks Junior who said that. Junior doesn't answer that and only tells Tony that if he wants all of his problems to disappear he needs to make peace with Livia. Tony tells Junior that it isn't going to happen. Tony adds that Junior needs to get in contact with his acting captain, Bobby Baccalieri, and tell him that he needs to see him. Junior asks Tony for the nature of the business, but Tony hangs up before he can answer. Outside of Jack Massarone's Construction Site, Reverend Herman James, Jr. is organizing a protest against the construction site because of underlying racism he feels is being targeted at the black people that work at the site. Reverend James, Jr. tells the protestors to look around the site and notes that there isn't a single black person currently on the staff. His father, Reverend Herman James, Sr. comes up to talk with his son. Reverend James, Jr. notes that his father had to fight in World War II and came home to the United States to start his own family afterwards. Reverend James, Sr. tells the men that the black population has all spilled their blood in Korea, Vietnam, and in Iraq. He says that he always asks the good lord above for others to treat their population with honor, but somebody forgot to get the message to the other populations. Reverend James, Sr. says that he will not let the construction site cut any more jobs from the black people and specifically calls out to Massarone. Massarone goes inside of his headquarters to get away from the protestors. At the Soprano residence, Janice prepares to leave to go see Livia while Tony is watering the flowers. Janice asks Meadow if she wants to go, but Meadow states that she has to study her French. Tony stops Janice and tells her that they need to talk before she leaves. Tony asks Janice why the real estate sign was in the backseat of her car. He yells at Janice and tells her that the house is going to be sold and he put the sign back where it belongs. Janice tells Tony that whether the sign is in the ground or not the real estate agent still has the listing so it will still be for sale. Tony asks Janice why the sign was in her backseat. Janice insists that she was trying to save some money. She tells Tony that one of her friends is in real estate and has offered only a 3% commission which would save Tony thousands of dollars that could go to helping Livia. Tony is not concerned about Livia and dismisses Janice's idea. Tony also warns Janice not to leave Livia's car in the driveway if she's going to be away for a week. At the hospital, Livia is eating her lunch on her own now. She asks the nurse if she could get strawberry ice cream because she can't stand tapioca. The nurse says she'll try and get her some. Janice comes in and Livia can't believe that she's back. Janice kisses Livia and Livia complains that Janice smells like cigarettes. Janice tells Livia that it is nice to see her out of bed and dressed for a change. Livia shows Janice her hand and notes that it is black and blue from the needles she had in her hand. Janice states that it is a sign Livia is getting better. Livia doesn't think that Janice really cares about the situation. Janice tells Livia that she has to go to the city for a few days, but that she will be back soon. Livia remarks that Janice could never stand New Jersey and adds she can't really stand herself either. She knows that is the reason Janice ran away from home. Janice tells Livia not to go there. Livia states that it wasn't easy for her and notes that Janice doesn't even remember John that well. Livia states that nobody knows what she went through while she was married to John. Janice asks Livia what she is referring to. Livia sobs and says that it would kill John if he saw her in her current predicament. The nurse returns with the ice cream, but Livia doesn't want it. She asks the nurse to open the window so she can be pushed out because she can't take living anymore. The nurse asks what's wrong and Janice tells her that Livia just started crying. Livia screams that she knows why Janice is in town and says that she isn't fooled. She knows that Janice wants to take the house away from her. Janice states that isn't true at all. Livia retorts that she hopes Janice has children of her own one day and they treat her the way she is treated. She sobs that she gave her life to her children on a silver platter and they have no respect. Janice is tired of listening to ridiculous statements and leaves. Tony meets with Massarone to discuss the protestors. Massarone states that he can't get anything done with the protestors on the construction site. Tony asks Massarone who the protestors are. Massarone tells Tony that Reverend James, Sr. and Reverend James, Jr. are the leaders and they are protesting the fact that he hasn't hired enough minority workers. Tony tells Massarone that he is in Junior's jurisdiction. Massarone asks Tony to talk with Junior and get some men down to the construction site to make it uncomfortable. Tony notes that it will cost Massarone money. Massarone states that he can handle it. Tony states that he will do what he can to help. At Satriale's, Tony, Silvio, Paulie, and Pussy wait in the back. Bobby Baccalieri arrives to meet with them. Silvio notes that Bobby is late. Tony notes that Bobby is the last man standing in Junior's crew. Bobby tells Tony that he doesn't want to say anything to him. Pussy notes that Bobby doesn't want to cause any problems. Tony adds that a lot of Bobby's friends have had funerals lately and asks Bobby how that makes him feel. All Bobby can do is look at the floor, but Tony tells Bobby to look him in the eyes. Tony tells Bobby that he is to relay a message to Junior that he will continue to let Junior earn on the subsistence level. He assures Bobby that Junior will have enough money to pay for his attorneys. Bobby thanks Tony for that. Tony tells Bobby that he's about to reveal some information from the top and he hopes that Bobby will be able to keep that information between them and Junior as well as being able to handle it. Tony promises Bobby that if he tells anyone outside of the room or Junior, the cops will find pieces of him all over the town. Bobby retorts that he inherited Junior's crew and he doesn't feel that Tony has the right to talk to him with disrespect. He says that he has always had respect for Tony. Tony knows that is not true, but he adds that he is assuming that Bobby has respect now. Tony tells Bobby that Junior is allowed to keep 5% of all of his profits. Tony adds that Junior gets to keep his stripes as Boss because this way the FBI is convinced that they have the Boss in jail. Tony says that the rest of Junior's businesses and money-making opportunities now belong to Tony. Bobby promises that he'll get the information to Tony. Tony says that's all he needed to tell him. Bobby leaves, but on his way out quotes that the victor receives the spoils. Tony tells Bobby to leave before he beats him for his quotations. The next day, Pussy gets out of getting back surgery to relieve the pain. The nurse comes in and asks Pussy if Angie is driving him home. Pussy tells the nurse that Skip is driving him home. The nurse goes out to the lobby and gets Skip. FBI Agent Skip Lipari comes into the room to talk with Pussy. The doctor tells Skip that Pussy will be out of it for another hour before the anesthesia wears off. The doctor tells Pussy that his back will feel much better in a few days. Skip drives Pussy back to his home. Pussy tells Skip that he doesn't feel any difference in his back, but Skip tells him that the doctor told him it will take a few more days. We then find out that Makazian was right and Tony's suspicions were true: Pussy is an informant for the FBI. Skip asks Pussy if Tony knows that he's back in town. Pussy lies and says that he didn't see Tony yet. Skip says that he's seen informants drag the process out as well as play both sides against the middle. Pussy tells Skip to cut him some slack and notes that Tony already suspected in the past that Pussy was the informant. Skip says that Altieri was able to cut Pussy a break and assures him that when Altieri was killed it ended the suspicion that Pussy was a rat. Pussy says that he's known Tony for thirty years. Skip states that Pussy has been an informant since 1998 and notes that he is still in the clear. Skip adds that the doctors in Puerto Rico were able to confirm his story that he was getting treated there. Skip notes that if Pussy wants to earn he needs to show that he can get information and mentions that Tony tried to kill Livia and even Junior wanted to kill Tony. Skip also notes that Tony is seeing Dr. Melfi and tells Pussy that he shouldn't stick his neck out for Tony when Tony only thinks of him as an errand boy. Later, Judge Jacob Greenspan meets with Junior and Melvoin along with the prosecutors. The prosecutors ask Judge Greenspan not to release Junior from jail and notes that whenever they arrest one of the elder Mafia members the same bag of tricks is deployed. Melvoin disputes that Junior should not be referred to as being in the Mafia since he wasn't convicted of anything. Melvoin adds with Junior's health issues he has the right to seek the best medical care he can afford. The prosecutor says that Junior is suffering from a benign illness being a few clogged arteries. Judge Greenspan states that unless the prosecutors can prove that Junior is a flight risk he is leaning towards releasing Junior. Judge Greenspan tells Junior that if he is released from jail he will be placed on house arrest. He says that he will be allowed to leave for doctor's appointments and food shopping, but at all other times he must remain in the house. The prosecutors ask Judge Greenspan to at least require Junior to wear an ankle bracelet. Melvoin argues that an ankle bracelet would cause persecution against Junior and notes that the last time Junior was arrested was back in 1968. Melvoin adds that Junior pays his taxes and served in World War II which should provide merit. Judge Greenspan asks Junior if he has any reservations about wearing the ankle bracelet. Junior says it sounds like Nazi Germany to him. Judge Greenspan remarks that Junior needs a history lesson. Melvoin asks Judge Greenspan not to let their personal bias get in the way of this case. Judge Greenspan orders Junior to wear an ankle bracelet to deter any chance of fleeing. Later, Tony visits Reverend James, Sr. at his home. Reverend James, Sr. answers the door and asks Tony what he wants. Tony states that he is looking for Reverend James, Jr. Reverend James, Sr. tells Tony that his son will be back soon and invites him into the house. Tony looks at old photos of Reverend James, Sr. and notes that he was a handsome man back in the day. Reverend James, Sr. remarks that he still is a handsome man. He notes that he still has the same teeth that he did before and adds that the picture was taken 57 years ago. Tony asks Reverend James, Sr. how old he really is and guesses that he is 75. Reverend James, Sr. says that he is actually 83. He asks Tony what he wants with his son. Tony tells him that he has some business that he wants to talk with him about. Tony realizes that Reverend James, Sr. was 28 when World War II started. Reverend James, Sr. tells Tony that back in 1943, the Army was drafting people no matter how old they were or how ugly. Reverend James, Sr. remembers a particularly large man that was drafted and all he could do well was cook. Reverend James, Sr. says that the man was scarier with the stove than with a rifle. Tony asks Reverend James, Sr. if he ever watches the History Channel and notes that he thinks he would like it because they do excerpts about Jesus. Reverend James, Sr. replies that it wouldn't give him the whole story and adds to Tony that he should never underestimate a man's will to be free. Tony nods his head in agreement. He tells Reverend James, Sr. that he'll talk with his son at another time and leaves. At the doctor's office, Tony is playing around with the model of the heart. Junior comes in and notes that if Tony breaks the heart he has to buy it. Tony says that if he knew Junior was going to get out of jail that quickly he wouldn't have talked with Bobby. Junior tells Tony that Bobby gave him the message. Tony tells Junior that he should be grateful that he is still allowed to earn. Junior asks Tony what's on his mind. Tony asks Junior how he was able to get a great doctor like this. Junior says he knew someone and they hooked him up. Junior adds that the FBI is also not allowed by law to set up wires in a doctor's office so he set up the office as a place to discuss business. Tony asks Junior if he heard about Massarone Construction. Junior assures Tony that Bobby will handle it. Tony says that the results will end in his favor no matter what. Junior asks Tony if he's made peace with Livia. Tony tells Junior that he is tired of hearing about Livia and states that Livia is dead to him. Junior says that Livia is his sister-in-law and he knows that she doesn't know half of the things that she says. Tony tells Junior that he heard the FBI tapes from Green Grove and says that Livia played Junior like a child. Junior retorts that Livia did not play him and insists that Livia was not aware that she was setting up Tony's assassination. Junior says that he is not as stupid as Tony might think and is angry that Tony and the capos met behind his back. Tony tells Junior to let sleeping dogs lie and states he had his reasons for doing that. Junior notes that there was one loose end from that and notes that the director of Green Grove, Freddy Capuano, is talking too much. Junior tells Tony that Capuano is talking about Soprano business to anyone that wants to know. He says that Capuano is the one that spread the rumors about Tony wanting to kill Livia and even implied that Junior and Livia were seeing each other. Later, the Soprano family plus Janice are eating dinner together. Carmela notices the silence and asks everyone why nobody is having a conversation. AJ says that he has to write a report on DNA for biology. Carmela states that is interesting and says she saw on Inside Edition they will be able to identify every casualty in combat because of DNA. Janice tells Tony that she knows that he doesn't want to hear about Livia, but she states that Livia is an impossible woman. Janice says that Livia is so focused on herself and doesn't care about anyone else. Janie thinks of Tony as a saint for putting up with her for as long as he did. Tony tells Janice that he doesn't want to hear about Livia. Meadow is upset about hearing this conversation. Janice adds that Livia can be a big baby when her buttons are pushed. Tony gets furious and reminds Janice that she is in his home and asks her how many more times she needs to be reminded. Meadow tries to make a remark, but Tony notes that Meadow is going to want to drive one of the vehicles in a few months. Janice tells Meadow that they are being insensitive to Tony's feelings. Tony thanks everyone or the silence. Janice asks Tony if he's given any thought about whether her friend can sell Livia's house. Tony says that he'll let her friend sell the house as long as the house is sold. AJ starts to tell a joke that has foul language and Carmela remarks that this is because Tony curses at the dinner table. Tony says nothing and continues to eat. The next day, a police officer stops on a side road. Freddy Capuano's car is parked on the side of the road with the keys still in the ignition. When the officer looks next to one of the wheels, he sees Capuano's toupee underneath one of the wheels. It is clear that Tony had Capuano killed for talking too much. Later, Janice takes Meadow out for a driving lesson and asks Meadow not to let Tony and Carmela know that she drove to let Janice buy marijuana. Janice states that marijuana should be legal and notes it helps with the carpal tunnel in her hands. Meadow tells Janice that she is annoyed at the way Tony talks to her all of the time. Janice states that Tony is insecure and he feels that's his way of maintaining authority. Janice mentions Livia to Meadow. Meadow states that she's wanted to visit Livia, but she's had too much homework and community service that she has to do in order to get into a great college. Janice asks Meadow if she knows Livia well and asks Meadow what Livia likes. Meadow says that Livia is into negativity. Janice says that she was referring to things that give Livia pleasure in her life. Meadow says that Tony used to find old records for Livia. Janice remembers the DeCastro Sisters and remembers that she hated that music growing up. At the doctor's office, Junior and Bobby wait for Junior to see the doctor. Junior asks Bobby if he saw him on television. Bobby says he did and asks him why he wants to know. Junior asks Bobby how he looked on the television. Bobby thinks that Junior just looked like himself and looked good. Junior says he didn't like the way he looked and thinks he should get new frames for his glasses. Junior turns to a man in the waiting room with glasses and asks him how much the frames on his glasses cost him. The man states that the insurance covers it. Junior tells the man that his father told him never to get old and Junior is wishing he would have listened to him. While they are sitting there, Massarone comes out of the doctor's office. He sits down next to Bobby and slips an envelope of money into a magazine. He then slips the magazine to Bobby and leaves. Livia awakens from her sleep to hear music from Luciano Pavarotti. Livia's blurry vision clears and she sees Janice standing by the window with some flowers. The sunlight reflects off of her. Livia loves Pavarotti and asks Janice if she brought it. Janice says that she remembers that Livia loved a good tenor growing up and remembers when they used to listen to singing on the radio when she was little. Livia says that she does remember and smiles. She holds Janice's hand. Bobby later meets with Tony at a parking lot. Tony remarks that Bobby really needs to consider eating salads. Bobby hands Tony the money that Massarone gave him. Bobby tells Tony that Junior needs to know when to act. Tony tells him that in the morning. Tony adds that they are short a few people so it is important that Bobby is there in the morning. After Tony drives off, Bobby spits on the ground. He says to himself that Tony is not the skinniest person in the world and thinks that Tony needs to take a look in the mirror at himself. Carmela sets the dinner table for the evening's supper. AJ tells Carmela about DNA and is amazed that there are over one hundred million nucleotides in every strand. Tony comes in and sees that a plate has been set for Janice. Tony notes to Carmela that Janice knows what time they eat and a place shouldn't be set for her unless she is at the house. Carmela tells AJ to do the prayer. As they are praying, Janice comes in and announces that she is home. She sits down at the table. Tony tells Janice that she knows what time the family eats and tells her that in the future she needs to call if she's going to be late or she will not eat. Janice mocks Tony and asks that he not send her to bed without supper. Carmela announces that Meadow passed her driver's test today. Tony is proud of her and notes that she learned from the best. Meadow says that it was hard when she had to park behind a van, but she was able to do it. Later, Tony smokes a cigar with his feet in the pool. Janice joins him and says that she misses the fireflies that are out west. Tony says that he moved into this part of New Jersey so he could get a bit of nature. Tony asks Janice if she ever drives by Jimi Hendrix's house in Seattle. Janice says that she hasn't. Janice says that she knows it isn't Tony's favorite subject, but she needed to tell him that Livia made great progress at the hospital today. Janice says that Livia will be released soon to take care of herself. Tony doesn't understand how Livia has improved if nothing was wrong with her in the first place. Janice says that faith saving therapy involves the patient believing they are getting therapy and this is helping Livia. Janice notes that Livia is going to need a place to stay. Tony says that the street is a fine enough place for Livia. Janice says that Livia has a house, but Tony retorts that dead people do not live in houses. Janice remarks that John bought the house. Tony tells Janice to take Livia back to Green Grove. Janice says that she doesn't have the money, but Tony is inconsiderate of her needs. Janice curses at Tony's ignorance. Later, Tony and Pussy drive out to Massarone Construction to see the protestors. Tony tells Pussy that Bobby was shocked when he found out he had to be at the protest. Pussy remarks that Bobby has always been lazy. Tony says that there aren't any good Mafia men coming up through the ranks in this day. Tony says they are all lazy, on drugs, informants, or they just don't listen to orders. Tony says that they only think about themselves. Pussy hopes that Tony doesn't feel that way about him and notes that it is only his back. Tony tells Pussy that he has done a lot of work for the Mafia and he has paid his dues. Bevilaqua and Gismonte arrive and they see Tony. They start to walk toward his car and they call Tony's name. Tony speeds past them and yells out the window that he is not supposed to even be seen at the protest. Tony drives away. Bevilaqua curses at Gismonte and notes that he made them look like idiots. At the protest, Christopher leads some of the Italians against the protestors. Christopher exchanges several racist comments with one of the protestors and a fight starts. Bobby arrives with some of his men and both sides fight each other. Massarone is satisfied and heads inside. Janice visits Livia at the hospital. Livia is reading the obituaries and notes that all of the people are dying around her age range. Janice tells Livia that he is going to be released from the hospital soon and asks Livia if she wants to go back to her house. Livia says that she'll go back to Green Grove. Janice states that Green Grove is a place where people go where nobody wants to take care of them. Livia states that Green Grove is not that bad and says that she gets fresh towels every day. Janice states that Barbara told her that Livia hated Green Grove. Janice tells Livia that she can't go back to Green Grove. Livia asks Janice why she can't. Janice tells Livia that it is dangerous at Green Grove and notes about Capuano going missing. Livia didn't know that and really is upset by that news. She begins to cough uncontrollably. When Livia can't stop, Janice runs outside to get the nurse. Livia is alright and says that she was just having trouble swallowing a cookie. She asks everyone to stop hovering over her. Janice steps outside with the nurse and the nurse tells Janice they need to talk about something. The nurse says that Livia has no emergency provision on her file. She says that when she talked with her about a Do Not Resuscitate, Livia got very agitated. Livia calls for Janice to come into the room to help her find her tissues. Tony sits in his living room when Janice comes in. Janice tells Tony that the hospital needs a decision about whether Livia should get a DNR or not. Janice notes that with Tony having power of attorney he needs to make the decision. Tony retorts that it doesn't matter. Janice asks Tony what will happen if Livia has to be hooked up to tubes and machines because Tony didn't sign the DNR. Tony says that if Livia becomes a vegetable it won't matter either way. Janice is angry and states that Tony is making it impossible to give Livia a place to live and the chance of repairing her relationship with Livia. Tony tells Janice that he is actually going to let her take Livia home and take care of her. Tony states that it will actually be humorous to watch the two of them in that house. AJ is getting ice cream during this conversation and chuckles to himself about the fight. Meadow asks Carmela where the keys to the car are at. Carmela asks Meadow why she needs the keys. Meadow says that she was going to take AJ to see Livia. Carmela notes it's really late for them to be visiting Livia. AJ asks Carmela if they can. Carmela tells them that they are not to be up to any nonsense. She tells them to go straight to the hospital and back. Meadow remarks the trust in their family is non-existent and dares Carmela to check the mileage when they get back. At the hospital, Meadow tells AJ that she is going upstairs to visit Hunter. AJ notes that that wasn't part of the deal and says that he will tell Tony and Carmela if she goes. Meadow retorts that she was going to let AJ drive around the parking lot on Sunday. AJ keeps quiet and goes to Livia's room. Livia is glad to see AJ. Livia tells AJ that she thought he was Janice and notes that Janice is always coming over to see her. Livia remarks that daughters take better care of their mothers. AJ tells Livia that Janice is back at home. Livia asks AJ where Meadow is. AJ says that Meadow went upstairs. Livia complains that Meadow is another person that doesn't care what happens to her and notes that she would drop Livia off at the hospital and leave her like the others would. AJ sits down and asks Livia what a DNR is. He tells Livia that he was doing a report on DNA, but he overheard Tony and Janice talking about a DNR. Livia is taken aback by this news. AJ says that he overheard them talking about that in relation to fears about Livia falling into a coma. AJ asks Livia if DNA causes people to fall into comas. Livia is speechless and doesn't know what to think. The next day, Livia is busy in therapy. Janice comes in and tells Livia that Tony is going to let them live in the house. Janice says that she is going to move in to take care of Livia. Livia asks Janice if this is so she doesn't have to resuscitate her if she falls into a coma. Livia is angry and embarrasses Janice by telling the nurses a story about Janice selling her nice ballet shoes in order to buy amphetamines. The nurse notes that Janice was a child then and suggests that she forget, forgive, and move in with her. Livia states that she is thinking of giving all of her money to the nurses here instead of her children. Livia suddenly gets strange and asks Janice if she remembers where she put the money. She says she told her last week and says that it is very important. Livia then calls Janice, Settimia, and says that she doesn't fool her. Janice reminds Livia of who she is and Livia states that her name is something else Janice threw away. Janice looks at a sign on the wall where a door to the stairs is. It has a picture of a stick figure falling down the steps. Janice pictures Livia's head on the stick figure falling down the stairs, but quickly dismisses the thought. Livia asks Janice if she told her where the money was. Janice tells Livia not to be concerned about that now. She tells Livia that they should focus on getting her well enough to move home so she can take care of her. Janice adds if the money is at the house then they will find it. Later that night, Junior is at his house shaving in the shower. He drops his razor into the bathtub. When he bends down to get it, he loses his balance and slips. He ends up hitting his hip against the side of the tub and he curses in pain. Tony drops by the home of Reverend James, Sr. to find Reverend James, Jr. outside and people singing gospel music inside. Tony asks Reverend James, Jr. what the occasion is. Reverend James, Jr. informs Tony that Reverend James, Sr. passed away. Tony can't believe it and notes that he just spoke to his father a few days ago. Reverend James, Jr. notes that his father was blessed with longevity and says that everyone will have their time. Reverend James, Jr. tells Tony that his father never knew about their business arrangement and wouldn't have approved of it even if he knew. Reverend James, Jr. asks Tony if his parents are still alive. Tony replies that his father is dead, but his mother is still around. Tony states that Livia is too bitter to die. Reverend James, Jr. notes that when the last of the previous generation die off then they will become the old folks at the family functions. Tony tells Reverend James, Jr. that they are still kids at heart. Reverend James, Jr. says that he will know that truth when Livia passes away. Reverend James, Jr. says that he doesn't intend to die any time soon, but he says it just feels weird being the elder in the family. Tony gives Reverend James, Jr. his cut of the money. Reverend James, Jr. notes that the boys almost went too far and someone almost lost an eye. Tony asks Reverend James, Jr. what Massarone offered him. Reverend James, Jr. says that he offered him five no-show jobs. Tony says that splitting it 3-2 in his favor is a good outcome because of the fact he has to kick money up to Junior. Reverend James, Jr. notes that the protestors are not in his pocket and notes he still has face to keep. He asks for 3-2 in his favor. Tony says he will honestly think about it. Tony tells Reverend James, Jr. that he is sorry about his father and leaves. Tony's phone rings and he takes a walk while talking. Livia calls Carmela and Carmela is not happy that Livia is calling the house. Livia says that he called because she knows Tony harbors resentment against her and she says that she doesn't know what she did to earn this resentment. Carmela tells Livia she is hanging up. Livia tells Carmela that she wanted her to know that she is leaving all of her money to her grandchildren. She states she raised Janice, Tony, and Barbara and she thinks she did a good job. Carmela retorts that all three are unhappy. Livia is sad that Carmela is falling for Janice's act and warns her that Janice is a snake in the grass. Janice says that Livia has no work ethic and hangs up the phone on Livia. Tony arrives at Junior's house to see him. Bobby brings Tony inside and Tony asks Bobby if he called the ambulance. Junior insists that he doesn't need an ambulance. Tony says that they need to go to the emergency room. Junior tries to protest, but Tony says that they need to go down and make sure. Tony tells Junior he and Bobby will drive him to the hospital. Junior agrees to this and asks Tony for a minute to catch his breath. Tony picks Junior up and carries him in his arms. Junior asks Tony not to let him go to his grave with all of the guilt. Tony tells Junior that he isn't going anywhere. Junior begs Tony to make things right with Livia. Tony doesn't respond to that and heads toward the front door. The episode ends with Tony carrying Junior to his car to take him to the hospital.
