Warning: Spoilers
Episode 27 begins with Dutch and Chester's escape from prison, winding up in the Tate basement.Burt offers Danny part ownership of his construction business,as both try to shave before the same mirror prior to Danny's wedding.Mary fears that her son will never call her once he's married, and gives examples of sons who neglect their mothers("Mrs.Kalish, poor soul...she hasn't taken a bath in two years, she's afraid he'll call, she'll be in the tub!") At the wedding,Elaine's Aunt Esther(Florence Halop)is surprised to see a black man(Benson)as part of the groom's family, and her father drinks a toast to the bride, completely cutting off Elaine from the family("she is a disgusting person, and nothing thrills me more than to be rid of her forever!") Jodie returns home after a date with Dennis, with a distraught Carol waiting to tell him she's going to have his baby("the rabbit died!")This is the final appearance of Gordon Jump as Chief of Police Tinkler,Sorrell Booke as Charles Lefkowitz,Elaine's father, and the always unbilled Tim Rossovich, whose bodyguard does show up at the wedding.

The bombshell is dropped.

It's the day of Danny and Elaine's wedding, he confides in his mother how he actually feels about his bride. Dutch puts his escape plan into action, with a naive Chester tagging along. Carol has some big news for Jodie.

Jessica's outfit is really quite something, I'm not sure if it's Star Wars or Dune, but it would definitely fit into either franchise. It has to be the first big talking point in this episode.

Some amusing scenes in this one, seeing Burt and Danny fighting for mirror space to shave, that was nice, they are like father and son. Burt asking Jodie about his dating arrangement was also pretty funny.

I wonder if Elaine is going to become a series regular now, I hope so, can see some potential in her character.

A soap opera to end all soap operas, but come on where is Bob?

8/10.
