Steve Austin(Lee Majors) is assisting in a simulated recreation of a plane crash involving a powerful Senator(played by Pat Hingle) who may have made a pilot error that killed his co-pilot. Steve is pressured by Oscar Goldman(Richard Anderson) to give the Senator a break at the inquiry, as it was he who got the six million dollars in funding that gave him his bionics. Fate takes a hand as they, along with the Senator's son and aide, are flying back home when the plane is caught up in bad weather, making an emergency landing that tests all four of them in unexpected but pivotal ways if they are to survive this ordeal... Good episode works as a character study in both senses of the word.

Pilot Error
coltras356 September 2023
Senator Hill (Pat Hingle ) is forced to crash-land his aeroplane on the way to an Air Force investigation into a previous crash in which his co-pilot was killed. This time Steve Austin (Lee Majors) is among the passengers. Steve must lead the others to safety despite being blinded in the crash.
Blinded, Steve bends a propeller in shape, senses a rattler coming his way and manages to fly back to safety but not without some drama, suspense and a round of character study. It's an arresting episode with good acting and a solid aircraft. Aviation fans would enjoy this. The special effects are quite convincing and the sense of dread is well done.
