- Homer and Marge find themselves on death row after they are framed for murder.
- On The Simpsons "Frying Game" episode, Matt Groening and pals take aim at reality shows.
As a gift, Homer gets a beautiful coy pond put in their backyard for Marge. Soon, they discover an endangered "screamapillar" (basically, a screaming caterpillar), which is protected by the EPA. The EPA protects the screamapillar via a helecopter that catches Homer every time he tries to harm the screamapillar. Homer accidentally kills the screamapillar and is forced by the authorities to do community service to make up for the incident. Homer and Marge work for an old woman (Mrs. Bellamy) who eventually turns up dead (stabbed in the back with scissors), leaving Homer and Marge as suspects. Marge and Homer are suspected of murdering Mrs. Bellamy in order to get her diamond necklace. The necklace is mysteriously discovered in their home.
Homer and Marge get hauled off to jail, as Bart and Lisa are left with foster parents, Cletus and Brandine. They are proud to get $5/day/child from Child Protective Services. Upon arrival, Cletus gives them adopted names. Bart gets renamed "Dingus" and Lisa is renamed "Pamela Anderson Lee"
In jail, Marge volunteers to take some blame, and helps too. They're both sentenced to the electric chair, but Homer saves Marge by confessing. That puts Homer on death row. In the end, it is revealed they were duped as part of a new reality show called "Frame Up." Mrs. Bellamy is still alive, and is really Carmen Electra in disguise.
After Carmen Electra takes off her disguise, Homer stares at her chest and (meanly) says "I can't believe you put me through this". Carmen says "Homer, my eyes are up here". Homer, refusing to look up, says "I've made my choice."
Both Carmen Electra and Frances Sternhagen guest star.
