Carolyn Omine episode.
santifersan7 July 2022
This episode has some good jokes, but the plot is weak and the script does not have a good structure.

The episodes written by Carolyn Omine are among the funniest of the modern Simpsons, though also somewhat weak.

The rape episode...
canireallywin5 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's sad but unsurprising to see that none of the other reviews touch upon the spousal rape here, let alone the fact that it's presented as a joke. You'd know that if Homer had raped Marge, (rightly) nary a review would ignore it.

He was clearly uncomfortable, and started to make an excuse to get out of it, and then Marge delivers the nasty line, "I wasn't asking."

It's an sour turn of events; Marge had just completed her arc, going from victim to hero, and the episode was fine besides. Given that and what I mentioned above, I wasn't entirely sure what to score it, so I settled on half marks.

An episode where crime is okay? No. is not okay.

Marge fights back
studioAT31 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Marge gets mugged, and then fights back, in a so-so episode from the 14th series.

It's nice to see Marge being the central focus, but this episode never really rises from being ok, to being really funny.

It's a shame, because the premise had potential.

Negative portrayal of bodybuilding
jojohunx12 February 2020
Rather than focussing on bodybuilding as a positive, sadly it paints a negative picture of steroid abuse.

Awful episode
shawnlonaba22 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A deeply flawed episode that squanders some fun ideas to turn into a bizarre almost muscle fetish wet dream. The whole "Marge forcing down Homer" joke and "housewife getting strong and aggressive" somehow manages to be the damn near exact plot from an earlier Family Guy episode (Lethal Weapons) only that episode was actually funny. Did Marge need to get disgustingly ripped? Is it in-character for her to do steroids? No to both. This episode also brings back Ruther Powers from earlier seasons in easily her worst appearance, completely squandering the potential of expanding upon the friendship Marge and her built in "Marge on the Lam" by simply reducing her to a brief plot device to get Marge hooked on steroids. Easily one of the worst episodes from The Simpson's bronze era.
