Sex & Nudity

  • Bart mentions planning to swim naked.
  • Homer wonders whether his back is getting hairier.
  • Homer joins Marge in the shower briefly and they kiss nothing else is shown.
  • Bart's locker combination is 36-24-36, a reference to the supposed ideal figure for a woman. A very subtle line that most people probably won't get.

  • The kids riot and take over the camp.
  • The kids start destroying the school at the beginning of the episode, but it turns out to be Bart's dream.

Profanity

  • Bart says 'crappy' when being interviewed on the news, before asking whether he can say it on TV and is told that he can on that network.
  • Kearney says that it's 'TS' if the kids don't like their cabin, probably meaning 'tough shit', but some people may not get it.

  • Mr Black and the bullies drink brandy and smoke cigars.
  • Marge reminds Lisa with a rhyme to stay away from poison ivy, Homer then uses the rhyme to say: "Leaves of four, eat some more."
  • In a photo, Krusty is seen passed out on the ground with a bottle of tequila.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Kent Brockman compares Kamp Krusty to various war zones that he's covered, saying that it's much worse than them.
  • The experiences at Kamp Krusty turn out to be gruelling and miserable, eventually driving the kids to rioting.
  • A decrepit canoe is swept away by a strong current just as Lisa attempts to climb into it.
