Selma marries Troy McClure.
This is a strong episode with great character moments.
It is good to have a story focused on Troy McClure who is one of the most entertaining bit-part characters and it gives the great Phil Hartman the centre stage. McClure and Selma are used well by the writers in a nice little tragicomic arc. Jeff Goldblum has a great cameo too.
If you like parodies of the celebrity lifestyle and movie industry this is good one as it takes aim at the Hollywood marriage of convenience. Throughout the story there a several allusions and direct references to real people.
How funny is it? It's a pretty sharp adult comedy for me, but the humour is very focussed around a certain type of mentality and lifestyle that I think you need in interest in to fully appreciate.
