Maybe it's just me, but doesn't Ryker seem a bit rougher in this one? I mean, granted he has made it no secret that he hates Shane, but he has stood up for Shane in the past. He's had instances where his ranch hands have been wrong and Shane has been right. He KNOWS that Shane IS a good man, and would probably not shoot down a man without good cause. Ryker, who got angry when someone damned up the water so the starrett's couldn't get water, is suddenly doing things HIS way - the wrong way. I don't know, I thought they made him a little too mean and very stupid in this episode.
Also, since Shane ran away and broke the deal, how did they get the land back? Was it because Ryker realized that what he had done was wrong, and since Shane was able to get to the real person who killed the cowhand that Ryker gave back the land? Just wondering...
Of course it was a good episode as always.
