Most horrifying vision of terror ever
herurubin30 May 2015
this is one of the most horrifying looks for a movie monster ever presented. The vision of a burn victim wearing a stiff human mask and wig. I once saw a documentary about a poor soul whose face had been burned leaving him without many facial features left, just something of a smooth distorted visage only capable of conveying a faint echo of the humanity within the man. A special effects artist crafted a realistic mask that resembled the burned man's face before his misfortune. The mask allowed him to go to the store and run errands around town without being subjected to the screams of terrified children or the piteous stares of his former friends. I thought about Zeke the plumber, a war hero who served his country in the humid hell of the South Pacific only to lose the sense of smell that might have prevented his disfigurement from a gas leak set ablaze. After returning to his duties as plumber and maintenance man at the children's camp he was continuously subjected to the ungrateful children of privileged background leer at his distorted state. Being of meager means he could only obtain a crude mask and wig that might let Zeke regain some of his humanity, or at least the children might not fear him...might not scream and flee at the sight of him... That sort of scorn, rage and dehumainization can created a powerful curse... a curse that lives on in the nightmares of the children of Camp Anawana.

Don't touch the haunted Plunger!!!!
ddevil40011 September 2010
This episode has always been stuck in my head. I recently downloaded it for a Halloween DVD mix. Budnick tells the other campers a ghost story about a plumber who was killed and is coming back to get the other children Kids, he also tells them that the only things that the police found after zekes explosive death was his upper lip and his old plunger and that Zeke comes back because hes stil looking for his plunger. The kids start having nightmares and are freaked out. This was a pretty creepy episode when I was kid and every kid that likes scary themed shows should see this one. Anyway i may go as Zeke for Halloween even though nobody will know my costume. So find this episode and watch it asap. Peace Don't let Zeke get ya.

Fright Night
hellraiser729 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Warning don't read unless seen episode.

This is my third favorite episode of the show, it's also one of my favorite Halloween episodes. It's the simple survive the night premise but it's execution that makes it stand out.

I really like Zeke the Plumber whom is sort of a parody on both Fready Kruger and Leatherface. Despite a monster in a youth comedy, Zeke was scary but at the same time really funny, one scene that I thought was kind of funny was when he comes into Telly dreams and he gives her the opportunity to make a wish, she says she wants to play ball but it's not basketball he brings her to, I couldn't help but laugh as he was just having the time of his life. Though I'll admit Telly's fear is strange she's afraid of going to a dance and residing to becoming a stereotype, even though at a dance you just come to have a good time no one is telling you to be anyone else.

Telly and Mike want some retaliation from the suggestive scares Budnick has given them. And so it comes down to a bet where he has to last the whole night without acting scared. Seems like a good plan but Budnick counterattacks them by setting up some traps. It's just funny as we see each of the character putting up efforts to scaring him which unfortunately prove to be fruitless, and Budnick says my favorite quote in the episode which is also sort of a reference joke, but it cracks me up because is just shows how inflated his ego truly is "I am Master of the Universe, no one can scare me." The ending I like as I'll just say like in a dose of poetic justice.

This episode is the night of your life.
