Back home is not always the best.
searchanddestroy-131 December 2015
I just now realize that Robert Ellis Miller had not yet made any episode for this drama series. I think he is one of the best drama directors, I mean the the most gifted one, with the most skills to make the audiences weep or feel real emotions, for TV or big screen, and this kind of story seemed to have been written just for him. I was surprised not to see Dick Boone here, after all this was his show...But this doesn't remove anything from this sensitive tale of Warren Stevens returning home to find his former sweetheart not attracted by him anymore. An interesting character study instead of an unforeseeable story. And what a performance by Stevens to enhance this philosophical scheme of a man who thought to be grown up, and who finds that he is not after all.
