Warning: Spoilers
It's 1960 in Germany and American soldier Elvis Presley is put upon by other soldiers in a bar. He and his pal, George, fight their way out. Presley is returning to America the following day and gives George his guitar as a token of friendship. George is forced to pawn the guitar to get money to help his pregnant girlfriend, later wife. Almost 40 years later, George comes to Sydney to ask her help in finding the guitar. Off George, Sydney and Nigel go to Germany. There ensues intrigue and adventure - a whole lot of snakes are involved. There's also a funny scene with an Elvis impersonator. William Colgate did a wonderful job as George - a failed musician who wants the guitar back to give to his grandson. George has a certain panache and is really quite charming. I had never heard of Colgate before - a shame as he is really good.

Snake charmer

Sydney Fox goes to Berlin in search of Elvis' guitar. He once gave it to George, a friend, as a present after a classic tavern brawl, but later it was lost. When Sydney and Nigel discover the current owner, he is not pleased and introduces them to his impressive collection of poisonous snakes...

The 'Berlin' shown in the episode must be some place inspired by East Berlin during the cold war, maybe around 1970, rather than the colorful cultural melting pot it had become in 1999. Let's assume the makers of the series haven't been there for a long, long time and the portrayal is dated. Lack of research aside, William Colgate gets a fantastic role as George, the elderly rock musician with a leather jacket, which makes the episode memorable.
