darbi's review in "Victoriana" aptly details those Buicks , and is exceedingly well-written. I've narrowed the "battle-ax" as a 1940 Packard 120. Highlights include louvered hood, directionals on fenders, and the hood ornament--all of which differentiates it from the prior years' models.
