In this story, the youngest son Smith Sterling (played by Chris Hebert) is absent (at least, not shown onscreen) beginning with and during the segment where the Motorpigs abduct the family until the final sequences where Smith, without explanation, suddenly reappears when the family are watching the motorcycle "joust" between the father Hal Sterling and the clan leader (Chalktrauma) and later when the entire family is shown to escape the sudden attack by Kroll and his troops. Presumably, the screenwriter(s) had decided to conveniently exclude Smith from any scenes of violence or abuse toward a preteen boy as compared to what was clearly being forced upon the other, older members of the family.
Rev (Jeff East) fires an arrow into a Zone Trooper and then blows across the end of his crossbow. This is something people would do long ago with guns to blow the smoke out so that it wouldn't foul the barrel on black powder cartridges. This is not necessary with a crossbow and it would indicate the shooter had experience with firearms using gunpowder, which do not seem to be present on this planet.
