Darryl (not clear whether it's one or both) doesn't talk because when he was seven years old, he sat on a porcupine and "he ain't talked since."
The blonde Stephanie's taking refuge in the deep-woods cabin with the there beds, chairs, cups, etc (and her progressively checking each bed in a "too hard, too soft, just right" manner is reminiscent of the classic children's tale "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".
Although this was the third episode for Larry and his brothers Daryl, it's the first episode where their characters are part of the title and main characters in the plot, Lady being Stephanie, and The Tramps being the brothers.
