Nice attempt, but missing the real kick this episode needed.

Warning: Spoilers
The beautiful Catherine Oxenberg guest stars as the promoter CC hires to change Maxwell's image, and although Maxwell has a crush on her, it's actually Fran whom Oxenberg likes. With her squeaky voice, Fran asking "You're gay?" Is very funny, but oxenberg's assumption that Fran is to simply because she's over 30 and single is not a good factor for her character. In fact, Oxenberg's character really isn't all that well written, rather one-dimensional and basically insignificant. The best moments are Fran & Maxwell trapped in an elevator, with Fran stuck trying to get out from the ceiling. There are some very funny moments with Niles using Oxenberg to make C.C. upset by simply pointing out how attractive oxen bird is, obviously a new threat to C.C.'s love for Maxwell. There's a major missed opportunity for young Brighton, always attracted to a beautiful older woman, to meet her, and in fact, the children are completely insignificant as they have been in several episodes in the third season thus far.
