More Lucy (and Ethel) schtick from Fran and Val.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm not sure that Vivian Vance would want to be compared to Rachel Chagall's Val, but it's obvious like Mary and Rhoda, Laverne and Shirley, Kate and Allie and Patsy and Edina that they were all influenced by the two comic clowns that became TV's first great comic girl duo. This episode surrounds Fran's belief that her Valentine's Day secret admirer is Maxwell. Fran has to hog her way through a first date and is surprised with the arrival of one of Brighton's friends. Fran must rush to Times Square with Val to paint over the huge mural she planned to surprise Maxwell which leads to some very funny misunderstandings and conclusions.

Fran gets to literally hang around looking on a couple celebrate Valentine's their way while Val literally drops in on a group of men (no women) celebrating, that part unseen yet needing no further description. Fran gets some very funny moments trying to rush through a huge Italian lunch then deals with dizzy Val on the billboard and her failure to bring up exactly what she needed for their purpose up there. Brighton gets a very funny moment when Fran tells him how she's going to get her revenge for his failure to tell him of his friends crush on her. Some very funny moments helps this unbelievable episode from becoming completely cumbersome.
